programs

Master's
Program
This 45 credit hour ministerial program
is designed to prepare the student for
a greater degree of ministerial excellence
vocationally. Students specialize in
an area of study directly related to
their ministerial call. In addition
to coursework and a thesis, graduate
students will fulfill an internship
corresponding to their field of study.

Upon
declaration of a specific program major,
the Dean of Graduate Students conducts
an orientation with the Graduate degree
candidate and also customizes a program
of study that adheres to the student's
vocational goals in ministry.
Prerequisite:
A
Bachelor Degree with a minimum of 60
hours in Bible and Theology from an
approved college or university.

MASTER
OF BIBLE AND THEOLOGY
The Master of Bible and Theology degree
offers the student an opportunity for
in-depth Bible and Theological study.
Complimenting our Undergraduate Program,
the Master's of Bible and Theology provides
the student with ministry application
opportunities in the field through an
internship practicum.

MASTER
OF PASTORAL MINISTRY
The
Master of Pastoral Ministry is a well-rounded,
in-ministry program for pastors, counselors
and other full-time ministers. This
program places an emphasis on leadership
skills, pastoral counseling and theology.
It builds on ministry experience while
challenging the individual student to
pursue and realize their full potential
as a leader.

MASTER
OF CHRISTIAN COUNSELING
This Biblically based program is designed
for those involved in pastoral counseling
within the framework of Christian service.
It will enable the student to meet the
emotional, spiritual and psychological
needs of all age groups. The program
prepares the student for a wide range
of contemporary challenges encountered
in the local church and Christian ministry.
This degree is offered in cooperation
with the American Association of Christian
Counselors (AACC). (The FCU Counseling
Program is not recognized by the State
of Florida for the purpose of professional
licensing.)
PLEASE
NOTE: The Christian Counseling
Program is not available through the
Online Campus or at the Extension Campus
level.
SAMPLE MASTER'S PROGRAM:
There are three (3) components of study
in each Master's Program.
1. COURSEWORK: (thirty
(30) credits)
Each program consists of 10 courses
in the student's major consisting of
3 credits each.
2. THESIS: (six (6)
credits)
The Master's student is required to
write a 75-page thesis on a topic relating
to his/her major. Thesis topics are
selected by the student in conjunction
with the Dean of Graduate Students to
insure eligibility to the program.
3. INTERNSHIP: (nine
(9) credits)
An integral part of the Master's Program
is the internship requirement which
gives students opportunity for real-world
ministry. The internship is directly
related to the student's major and is
designed in conjunction with the Dean
of Graduate Students to ensure eligibility
to the program.

Doctoral
Program
The
Doctoral degree is a terminal degree
representing the highest level of academic
achievement possible. FCU offers a 44
credit hour Doctoral Program to prepare
candidates for the greatest level of
ministerial excellence. Students specialize
in an area of study directly related
to their ministerial call. In addition
to coursework, research and a dissertation,
doctoral candidates also fulfill an
internship corresponding to their field
of study.
Faith
Christian
University
offers Doctoral degrees in Theology
and Ministry. Custom programs in other
areas of study will be considered by
the Academic Committee as deemed necessary
to an individual's ministry call. Upon
declaration of a specific program major,
the Dean of Graduate Students conducts
an orientation with the Post-Graduate
degree candidate and also customizes
a program of study that adheres to the
student's vocational goals in ministry.

PROGRAM

DOCTOR
OF THEOLOGY
The
Doctor of Theology degree has the widest
application for ministry preparation.
This program is applicable for teachers,
evangelists, pastors, ministers and
other church leaders with a specific
call to preach and teach the Word of
God. Subjects include areas related
to the study of how God relates to man
through the Scripture.
DOCTOR OF MINISTRY
The Doctor of Ministry program is a
well-rounded, in-ministry program for
pastors and other full-time ministers.
This program places an emphasis on leadership
skills, pastoral counseling and theology.
It builds on ministry experience while
challenging the individual student to
pursue and realize their full potential
as a leader.

doctoral candidate will write a 175
page dissertation in a topic relating
to his/her field of study. Dissertation
topics are selected by the student in
conjunction with the Dean of Graduate
Students to insure eligibility to the
program.

Internship:
(nine (9) credits)
An
